This week's Ride & Run is in support of Trooper Wooten

Trooper Wooten is the father of our fellow “Rider and Runner” and one of the people that was responsible for getting the Ride and Run off the ground, Madi Wooten. Trooper Wooten, out of the Charlotte area, was recently involved in a terrible accident while in pursuit on the job, and is currently experiencing paralysis from the neck down. Several have reached out about how we can help Madi and her family with medical expenses, ect, so that is the goal of this event.

Flying Machine will donate a portion of that night’s drink sales (so drink up!), we’ll have a donation jar, and a QR code to the gofundme link at check-in.

Madi is an active member of Wilmington’s run community, seen at almost every race in town, one of the founders of the Ride and Run, and a great person. Anything we can do to help and show support for her family will be very appreciated!

Come join us every Wednesday @ 6:30PM for our weekly “Ride & Run!”

Meet up at Flying Machine Brewing Company at 6:30PM to either go for a group run, OR jump on your bike and go for a group ride. After the Ride & Run, lets congregate over some beers in our tap room! Please arrive early to check-in.

  • RIDE

  • Our RIDE is presented by our friends at Two Wheeler Dealer and includes a no-drop mellow group ride that welcomes friends of all ability levels. The 10 mile bike route mostly follows along Wilmington’s Cross City Trail. A drag rider will be on each ride to make sure everyone makes it back for some brews! Helmets and reflectors or lights are encouraged for all riders. Each participating rider is also encouraged to maintain a pace of 10mph.

  • Our RUN is presented by our friends at Omega Sports and includes three social “out and back” route options down the Cross City Trail. Route options include a 1 mile, 3 mile, and 5 mile “out and back”.

    • This is a social run and will include a person at the front of the group and a person at the back of the group.
